THORChain declines to blacklist Bitget-linked addresses
The Bitget hack involved unauthorized transfers totaling $387.5 million after an initial $351.6 million figure, and a preliminary investigation pointed to North Korea-linked activity using VPNs.
THORChain has refused to blacklist addresses associated with the Bitget hack, according to Cointelegraph’s Hodler’s Digest.
The exchange Bitget disclosed that it had suffered unauthorized transfers that were initially tallied at $351.6 million before the figure was later upgraded to $387.5 million.
Cointelegraph also reported that Bitget said its preliminary investigation linked the IP addresses involved to VPN services used by a North Korean hacking group.
In the same digest, Vitalik Buterin said Ethereum is evolving from being “just” a blockchain into a world cryptographic computer.
