Coinbase receives CFTC approval for its derivatives stack
The approval completes Coinbase’s derivatives infrastructure so it can list, broker, and clear fully collateralized products in-house.
Coinbase has received a DCO approval from the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission, completing the exchange’s derivatives infrastructure, according to The Block.
The Block reports the approval allows Coinbase to list, broker, and clear fully collateralized derivatives products in-house, rather than relying on external clearing arrangements.
