Greece enters EU MiCA register with four crypto providers added
The update brings the EU MiCA register to 359 unique crypto-asset service providers after additional firms from Germany, France, and Slovenia were listed.
Greece has entered the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) register for the first time, with four providers added, according to Cointelegraph.
The Greek entities listed on the ESMA MiCA register include BCash, Xenios Blockchain Group, Capital Wallet Greece, and Piraeus Bank, with the additions made as the register was updated on Thursday.
Cointelegraph reports that six other crypto-asset service providers from Germany, France, and Slovenia were also added, increasing the register to 359 unique providers.
The outlet also notes that the distinction of being Greece’s first MiCA-authorized provider could have gone to Binance, amid HCMC expanding its denial of remarks attributed to officials in a report on the exchange.
