China mourns death of singer Liu Huan at age 63
Chinese singer and songwriter Liu Huan died in Shanghai on September 25 at age 63, according to SCMP Economy.
The University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, where Liu taught the History of Western Music for three decades, issued an obituary but did not disclose details about the illness.
The outlet said Liu Huan performed the Beijing Olympics anthem, You and Me, alongside British soprano Sarah Brightman in 2008, and his death prompted widespread mourning among the mainland public.
