Morgan Stanley is testing crypto products via a digital asset lab
Bloomberg interview coverage said the lab is evaluating products such as stablecoins, tokenized assets, DeFi apps, tokenized deposits, central bank digital currencies, and tokenized money market funds.
Morgan Stanley has launched a “digital asset lab” to test crypto products, according to a Bloomberg interview cited by Bitcoin Magazine.
The coverage said the bank’s lab is being used to test products including stablecoins, tokenized assets, and decentralized finance applications.
The report also said the lab team is working on tests for tokenized deposits, central bank digital currencies, and tokenized money market funds.
Bitcoin Magazine noted Morgan Stanley became the first bank to debut a bitcoin exchange traded fund in April, and that the Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust manages over $871.0 million in assets, according to the fund’s website.
