In the first half of FY27, 78 mainboard listings came to the market, and the average issue size rose 12% to more than ₹1,200 crore.
India’s IPO market remained resilient in the first half of fiscal year 2027, even as broader equities faced pressure from global uncertainty, according to LiveMint Markets.
The outlet said 78 companies listed on the mainboard in April to September, up from 65 in the year-ago period, while the average issue size increased 12% year-on-year to more than ₹1,200 crore.
Median listing gains also improved, with LiveMint Markets reporting they reached 15%, up from 5% a year earlier.
The share of debutants that fell on listing day was lower at 20% in H1 FY27, compared with 35% in H1 FY26, and mainboard companies raised 35% more overall, with total proceeds increasing to ₹94,184 crore from ₹69,533 crore.
