Motilal Oswal lifts hotel stocks on wedding and MICE tailwinds
The brokerage said India’s hospitality sector ended Q2 of FY 2026 to 2027 on a strong footing, supported by corporate travel and MICE demand.
LiveMint Markets reports Motilal Oswal Financial Services expects India’s hospitality sector to gain positive momentum in the second half of FY 2026-27, citing a robust events calendar, a healthy wedding season, and continued pricing power.
The brokerage pointed to rising domestic travel supported by Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions activity, weddings, cultural events, and both leisure and corporate travel as key demand drivers.
Motilal Oswal also stayed bullish on Indian Hotels Company, Lemon Tree Hotels, and Ventive Hospitality, saying the sector concluded Q2 of FY 2026-27 on a strong footing backed by demand from corporate travel and large format events.
