Robinhood Chain kept producing blocks during Sept. 4 app disruption
Measurements show the chain produced 592 blocks in the minute beginning 12:57 UTC, despite a roughly 40-minute drop in successful transactions through busy apps.
CryptoSlate reports that Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum layer 2 network, continued producing blocks throughout its Sept. 4 disruption, correcting an earlier claim that block production stopped for at least 14 minutes.
According to new full-day measurement by Glass Hull dated Sept. 29, the chain recorded 854,255 blocks across all 1,440 minutes of Sept. 4 UTC, with the longest gap between consecutive recorded block timestamps running just two seconds, and 592 blocks produced in the minute beginning 12:57 UTC.
While block production continued, separate public-data analysis found that successful transactions through busy apps fell sharply for about 40 minutes, creating a real disruption for users even as blocks were still generated.
CryptoSlate also notes its earlier Sept. 5 article was incorrect, and that the two separate 14-minute pauses it cited were tied to posting transaction data to Ethereum, not to interruptions in the chain’s block production.
