Singapore’s crypto economy grows 55.4% to $284 billion
Chainalysis data shows institutional platform activity jumped 94% to $60 billion as the broader CSAO region contracted 6.8% over the same period.
Singapore’s crypto economy expanded 55.4% to $284 billion in the year ended June 2026, according to Chainalysis data cited by Cointelegraph.
The outlet said growth was driven largely by institutional platform activity, which rose 94% to $60 billion, concentrated among a small number of market makers, over-the-counter trading firms, and institutional brokerages.
Cointelegraph also noted that while Singapore grew, the broader Central and Southeast Asia and Oceania crypto economy contracted 6.8% over the same period, with the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam standing out for small-value peer-to-peer transfers.
