Standard Chartered forecasts USDe supply to hit $40B by 2028
The bank also initiated coverage of Ethena’s ENA token with a $2 year-end 2028 target, implying about a sevenfold gain from $0.28.
Standard Chartered expects Ethena’s USDe stablecoin supply to expand eightfold to $40 billion by the end of 2028, as the protocol broadens its yield sources beyond crypto markets, according to a research report shared with Cointelegraph.
The bank also set a year-end 2028 price target for Ethena’s ENA token at $2, roughly seven times the $0.28 price it cited in the report.
Standard Chartered further forecasts that USDe would slightly outpace the overall stablecoin market’s growth over the same period.
In its outlook, the bank says the implied ENA performance would surpass Bitcoin and Ether over the forecast horizon.
