Whole Foods-anchored shopping center breaks ground in Montgomery County
The District at Black Rock is planned to deliver in Q4 2027 on a 28-acre former Quest Diagnostics campus, with 120,000 square feet of retail and 120 owner-occupied townhomes.
Construction has started on a mixed-use shopping center in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania that will be anchored by Whole Foods, according to Bisnow.
The project, The District at Black Rock, is being built on a 28-acre former Quest Diagnostics campus and is scheduled to deliver in the fourth quarter of 2027.
Bisnow reports the development will include 120,000 square feet of retail space plus 120 owner-occupied townhomes, and that it is 89% preleased.
The outlet said the tenant lineup includes Whole Foods Market, L.L. Bean, Sephora, and Barnes & Noble, and noted the submarket has not seen a new shopping center built in nearly two decades.
