Bank group sues U.S. regulator over crypto trust charter authority
The Independent Community Bankers of America has filed a lawsuit against the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency over how the regulator grants crypto trust charters, according to CoinDesk.
The banking group argues the OCC exceeded its legal authority in granting the charters, setting up a dispute over the regulator’s reach in crypto-related oversight.
