BLM to auction 35,000 acres for California oil and gas leasing
The December 1 lease sale will include 43 parcels across Kern, Kings, Fresno, and San Luis Obispo counties.
The Bureau of Land Management will offer roughly 35,000 acres in California for oil and gas leasing through a lease sale on December 1, the agency said, with the auction set to include 43 parcels.
The parcels are located in Kern, Kings, Fresno, and San Luis Obispo counties, according to OilPrice.
OilPrice also noted the sale follows June BLM decisions that resumed federal oil and gas leasing in the agency's Bakersfield and Central Coast planning areas after years of litigation.
The BLM stated the offer is part of its federal leasing program for California lands.
