Crypto market rises 1.4% as stop orders trigger and bitcoin edges higher
Total crypto market value reached $2.94T briefly in Asia after stop orders were triggered, while Aave, Aptos and Litecoin led gains over the past 24 hours.
The crypto market rose 1.4% over the past 24 hours to $2.92T, after briefly peaking at $2.94T as stop orders were triggered at the start of the Asian session, according to Action Forex.
The outlet said the move came despite a strengthening dollar, attributing the action to a shift out of European assets and to a continued decline in expectations for an October policy tightening by the Fed.
Action Forex reported bitcoin attempted to break higher, failing to hold above $85K on Thursday but pushing into the $86K to $87K range on Friday morning, near highs from the start of last week.
Among major coins, Aave gained 11.8% over 24 hours, Aptos rose 7.2%, and Litecoin added 4.8%, while NEAR Protocol fell 5.8%, IOTA declined 1.3%, and Cosmos dropped 1.2%.
