EURUSD drops below 1.1300 to a 17-month low

The pair hit 1.1265, and remained on track for a third straight weekly loss.

EURUSD fell further on Thursday, extending its broader downtrend to the lowest level since late May 2025, according to Action Forex.

The outlet said the euro dollar broke below the 1.1300 level for the first time in 17 months, reaching a 1.1265 low.

Action Forex attributed the move to a mix of factors, including rising oil prices weighing on inflation expectations, an already weakened bloc economy, political uncertainty, and a stronger dollar.

It also noted EURUSD was positioned for a third consecutive weekly decline, while technical indicators suggested bears may face headwinds as the market became oversold.
