Fed extends comment period for proposal to modernize Regulation O
The Fed extended the public comment period to November 4 to give interested parties more time to review the modernization proposal, covering banks' lending to insiders.
The Federal Reserve Board announced that it will extend the comment period on its proposal to modernize Regulation O, a rule that governs how banks extend credit to insiders, including bank executives, board members, and major shareholders.
The Board said the extended deadline is November 4 and that the additional time is intended to give interested parties more opportunity to analyze the proposal and submit comments.
