Finland investigates suspected break-ins at MPs' homes
Parliament speaker Jussi Halla-aho said the number of suspected intrusions is significant, and Finland shares a 1,340 km border with Russia.
Finland is investigating suspected break-ins at the homes of members of parliament, with the prime minister saying the incidents could be linked to a foreign power, Agence France-Presse reports.
After media coverage, parliament speaker Jussi Halla-aho told a press conference that parliament had been made aware of a “significant” number of apparent intrusions at the homes of several politicians.
Halla-aho said he could not comment precisely on how many suspected cases are known, but added that the number is significant.
The investigation comes as Finland, which shares a 1,340 km border with Russia, has been on high alert since the Kremlin sent troops into Ukraine in February 2022.
