Interpol warns AI is speeding up cyber threats for businesses

Interpol says agentic AI poses new risks because it can generate and scale attacks while making them harder to detect.

CNBC World reports that an Interpol executive warned AI is increasing the speed and scale of cyber threats, raising the operational challenge for companies dealing with cyberattacks.

The outlet said the executive warned that AI is making existing threats faster while also being harder to detect.

CNBC Markets added that the rise of agentic AI creates additional risks for businesses, as attackers can more easily generate and scale harmful activity.
