Millennium Capital’s London average pay drops for third straight year
For the year ended 2025, average remuneration fell to £671,000, down from £717,000 in 2024, as the firm added support staff while cutting investment headcount in London.
Hedgeweek reports that average employee remuneration at Millennium Capital Management’s London operations fell for a third consecutive year in 2025, reaching £671,000 for the year ended 2025, compared with £717,000 in 2024.
The outlet said the pay decline reflects a multi year trend, with average remuneration around £776,000 in 2023 and about £1.1 million in 2022, which amounts to a drop of close to 40% over four years.
Hedgeweek attributed the change to workforce composition rather than broad-based reductions in individual compensation, noting that support and other non-investment functions typically receive lower pay than investment professionals.
During 2025, Millennium reduced its investment headcount by 31 while adding 52 support employees, lowering the share of London staff accounted for by investment professionals to roughly 47% from about 55% four years earlier.
