SMBC Nikko and Nethermind plan Japan-focused DeFi gateway on Uniswap

SMBC Nikko and Nethermind have outlined a plan, via a memorandum of understanding, to build a Japan-focused DeFi gateway connected to Uniswap.

The effort involves Uniswap Labs, Base, and Nyx Foundation, with a target completion date set for mid-2027.

The Defiant said the collaboration is aimed at bringing the gateway to market by that timeframe.
