Allianz appoints new CEOs for Allianz Partners and Allianz Direct
The leadership changes announced from Munich on October 1 are set for effect on November 1, 2026, pending regulatory approval.
Allianz has named new chief executives at two digital-focused units, Allianz Partners and Allianz Direct, the insurer said from Munich on October 1.
Philipp Kroetz will move from Allianz Direct to lead Allianz Partners, taking the role on November 1, 2026, succeeding Tomas Kunzmann. Laurent Floquet, currently chief operating officer of Allianz Partners, will become CEO of Allianz Direct on the same date, with Kroetz transferring over from Allianz Direct.
Allianz said the appointments are subject to regulatory approval and were timed and sequenced to support smooth handovers. It also said a successor to Floquet as chief operating officer will be announced later.
The company framed the moves as part of bringing the businesses closer together and centering them around customers across motor, home, travel, assistance, and health.
