Trump expected to name Jay Clayton as AI adviser
Clayton, who oversees 18 US intelligence agencies, is expected to keep his current role if named to the AI post.
US President Donald Trump is expected to name Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton as his top adviser on artificial intelligence, a position Trump has previously described as an “AI tsar,” according to SCMP Economy citing a source familiar with the decision.
Clayton currently oversees 18 US intelligence agencies as the nation’s top spy and is expected to retain that role.
A White House official, according to the outlet, said any personnel announcement would be made directly by the president.
