Trump orders agencies to replace “artificial intelligence” with “super intelligence”

Trump also instructed the White House science adviser to draft a new federal definition for the term.

US President Donald Trump signed an executive order directing US federal agencies to replace “artificial intelligence” and “AI” with “super intelligence” and “SI” in official communications and non statutory documents, according to SCMP Economy.

The order also directs the White House science adviser to draft a new federal definition, a change that has prompted debate and left some US tech leaders balancing public usage of the older acronym.

SCMP Economy notes the shift has already surfaced in high profile appearances, including SpaceXAI CEO Elon Musk using the older term before correcting himself to “SI, pardon me.”
