US nonfarm payrolls set for Friday release at 12:30 GMT
Analysts expect September NFP to rise by 90K, with the unemployment rate steady at 4.1% and average hourly earnings up 0.3% month over month.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics will release September nonfarm payrolls data on Friday at 12:30 GMT, a figure that could shape how investors view the Federal Reserve’s October policy outlook and influence the U.S. dollar’s valuation, according to FXStreet.
FXStreet said market expectations call for payrolls to increase by 90K in September after a 162K gain in August.
The unemployment rate is expected to remain at 4.1%, while wage inflation, measured by the change in average hourly earnings, is projected to hold at 0.3% for the month.
FXStreet noted that after August’s employment report reinforced a healthy labor market, the Fed raised its policy rate by 25 basis points at the September meeting, and that the Fed emphasized job gains keeping pace with the workforce and the unemployment rate changing little.
