Farage questioned over reported £5m gift from crypto billionaire

A UK standards commissioner interviewed Reform UK leader Nigel Farage for about half an hour as part of an investigation into whether he should have declared a reported £5 million gift from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne, according to the Sunday Times as cited by The Guardian Business.

Farage said the gift was for his personal security, and the interview from last month was described as a sign the process is nearing a conclusion.

The piece also outlines that if the commissioner finds a serious rules breach, the matter can be referred to a standards committee of MPs and lay members for further evidence.
