Spot Bitcoin ETFs pull $134.4 million net inflows to start October

Inflows returned after a Sept. 30 outflow and followed a weaker September jobs report that cooled Fed rate-hike odds.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $102.7 million in net inflows on Thursday and $31.7 million on Friday, bringing total net inflows to $134.4 million over the first two trading days of October, according to Decrypt's Bitcoin ETF tracker.

The green start followed a red finish, as the funds lost $148.7 million on Sept. 30 and ended a nine-session inflow streak that began Sept. 17. Even so, September was their second-best month since October 2025, with $2.65 billion in net inflows, per SoSoValue data cited by Decrypt.

Decrypt also linked the turnaround to the U.S. labor market, noting that the economy added 29,000 jobs in September and unemployment rose to 4.2%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. After the release, CME FedWatch odds of an October rate hike fell to 14%, down from 70% earlier in the week.

Over the past decade, Bitcoin has averaged an 18% gain in October, Algoz's Stephen Wundke told Decrypt, as traders, in the outlet's account, leaned toward more upside than downside. Decrypt further reported that Bitcoin briefly tested $87,173 on Friday, just shy of its September high.
