NEAR Intents recovers $3.8M stolen in security breach
The attacker returned the full amount after NEAR Intents issued a 48-hour ultimatum and said it would stop the investigation and instead direct users to bug bounties.
Cointelegraph reports NEAR Intents said it recovered about $3.8 million stolen during a Thursday security breach after identifying the exploiter and issuing a response deadline.
According to Cointelegraph, the general manager, Alex Shevchenko, said the funds were sent back in full later on Friday and that NEAR Intents would stop the investigation, urging the use of bug bounties instead of disruption of services.
The outlet also reports that NEAR Intents preliminary findings indicated $3.8 million in user funds was taken, and the team pledged to compensate affected users in full.
