Canadian dollar steadies as US dollar loses steam
USD/CAD was last around 1.4240, after topping 1.4293 earlier in the session.
The Canadian dollar trimmed earlier losses on Monday as the US dollar eased from multi month highs against most peers, FXStreet reports.
The USD/CAD pair was around 1.4240 at US session open, after reaching 1.4293 earlier in the day, its highest level since March 2025.
FXStreet also links the move to currency swings driven by turmoil in global bond markets, with concerns about higher global yields weighing on risk appetite.
In the US, traders are looking to the ISM Services Purchasing Managers Index report scheduled for 14:00 GMT, with the outlet noting the headline figure is expected to reflect momentum in the services sector.
