DeFi Development Corp adds $3 million worth of Solana to its treasury
The Nasdaq-listed firm now holds 2,564,212 SOL and SOL equivalents, valuing its pile at $302 million after a 1% increase since Sept. 25.
DeFi Development Corp, a Nasdaq-listed digital asset treasury company, added 26,202 SOL, worth roughly $3 million, to its treasury between Sept. 28 and Oct. 2, according to an SEC 8-K filing reviewed by Decrypt.
The filing says the company, ticker DFDV, now holds 2,564,212 SOL and “SOL equivalents,” which the filing does not define, valuing the holdings at $302 million.
That represents a 1.0% increase from 2,538,010 SOL held on Sept. 25, with Decrypt noting the weekly pace of purchases has slowed from prior weeks.
DeFi Development Corp described the activity as continued buying of SOL and said in a company press release that its treasury had grown 11% since Aug. 12, while the company is also described as running its own validators.
