Lioncor receives €720M takeover bid as Irish build-to-rent grows
A Bisnow story says the Glass Bottle site has progressed to apartment blocks that are being completed and leased, with practical completion reached in late September.
International capital is returning to Ireland’s residential market, with Lioncor at the center of a renewed build-to-rent push, Bisnow reports.
The biggest resi REIT received a €720M takeover bid, while its once-dormant Glass Bottle site is now seeing apartment blocks completed and leased.
Bisnow also notes that at the Glass Bottle project, the Batch House reached practical completion in late September, as residents move into early phases of Lioncor’s apartment buildings.
Lioncor CEO Marcus Ryan said international interest increased after regulation changes made the Irish build-to-rent market more attractive, pointing to firms including GIC, MEAG, Quantum, DWS, Kennedy Wilson, and Hines as examples of new capital entering the sector, according to Bisnow.
