New-age Indian IPO firms weigh shifting ₹500 to ₹700 crore of proceeds

The change comes as execution delays extend planned timelines for at least four companies that listed since mid-2025.

India’s IPO pipeline includes 16 new-age technology companies seeking to raise about ₹57,410 crore, according to a Prime Database report cited by LiveMint Markets.

LiveMint Markets reports that at least four firms listed since mid-2025 are considering reallocating ₹500-700 crore of proceeds from their primary issues.

Executives interviewed by LiveMint Markets said the motivation is to avoid leaving IPO funds idle in low-yielding deposits and instead pursue higher-yielding growth opportunities, using shareholder approval to revise deployment plans.

The outlet also notes concerns that proxy advisory firms and minority shareholder groups could question the shift, so the incremental benefit of moving toward higher-return projects would need to be clearly established.
