Trump creates Super Intelligence Force led by Jay Clayton
The new task force is set to coordinate federal engagement with consumers, public interest groups, critical infrastructure providers, and AI companies.
President Trump announced the creation of a “Super Intelligence Force,” a task force meant to coordinate the federal government’s approach to keeping the U.S. ahead in artificial intelligence, according to Decrypt.
The force will be led by Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton. Decrypt notes that, as SEC chair, Clayton helped launch crypto enforcement actions, including the agency’s case against Ripple.
Trump said the group will coordinate federal engagement with consumers, public interest groups, religious organizations, critical infrastructure providers, and AI companies, with the force reporting to Trump and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles.
Other listed leaders include Federal Trade Commission Chairman Andrew Ferguson, Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering Emil Michael, and Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor.
