Asos tells customers to ignore unauthorised push notification after hack
The retailer said the message could include basic personal information such as names and contact details, but it does not believe payment-card data or account passwords were exposed.
Asos said customers who received a strange-looking push notification from its app should disregard it and not click the external link, after the company identified the message as an unauthorised notification.
BBC Business reports that the pop-up message appeared to be sent by hackers, with the UK retailer warning it may contain basic personal information including name and contact details, while saying it does not believe payment-card information or account passwords were included.
Asos said it took immediate action to restrict the apparent hackers' access and is investigating, while working with advisers and relevant authorities on next steps.
Snowflake told BBC Business that its investigations found no compromise of its platform.
