ILS investors report strong appetite as cat bond returns stay attractive
A roundtable at the Rendez-Vous de Septembre meeting said overall sentiment across the ILS market remains positive, with participants expecting the full outlook report later this month.
Insurance-linked securities experts and leaders said investor appetite for the ILS market remains strong, citing the appeal of total returns in the cat bond segment, according to an Artemis roundtable discussion.
The session took place at the Rendez-Vous de Septembre reinsurance meeting, which Artemis said is in its seventh year, and it included nine experts from across the ILS and reinsurance ecosystem.
Participants discussed investor sentiment and appetite, along with renewals and terms and conditions, cat bond momentum, and private ILS momentum, as well as topics including what it would take to turn the market and the data centre opportunity.
Artemis said the full roundtable report will be released in the coming weeks, and the piece includes commentary from SCOR Investment Partners, which characterized the day’s sentiment as positive and said strong investor interest continues across the board.
