Jain Global hires two senior equity PMs in London
The London team buildout comes as Jain Global shifts from running an independent hedge fund to managing capital for Millennium.
Jain Global has added two senior portfolio managers to its London equities operation, as the firm continues expanding its investment team amid its shift in how it manages capital, according to Hedgeweek and a report by eFinanical Careers.
Valentin Tataru joined from JPMorgan, where he spent roughly 20 years trading hybrid securities, and took up an equity arbitrage portfolio manager role at Jain Global. Murat Boston joined the London platform after moving from KMB Capital, where he founded and ran the equity market neutral fund for two years.
The hires also follow ongoing questions about Jain Global's future structure after it moved away from operating as an independent hedge fund and toward managing capital for Millennium. Hedgeweek reports that Jain Global ended its period as an independent fund with a 0.2% loss, while continuing to recruit investment professionals and promote a platform focused on collaboration between portfolio managers.
