M Core buys East Kilbride shopping centre for about £20M

The 1M SF retail centre has more than 100 occupiers, and the deal brings the asset out of nearly four years in administration.

M Core has acquired the East Kilbride Shopping Centre in Scotland for about £20M, a move that extends its retail shopping centre buying activity, according to Bisnow.

The shopping centre, which totals 1M SF, had been in administration for almost four years after Orion Capital bought it for £180M in 2014.

Bisnow reports the administration process also triggered a restructuring of the wider site, with Centre West transferred to South Lanarkshire Council in December 2025 for the council to oversee redevelopment.

The centre has more than 100 occupiers, including Primark, Matalan, Boots, Sports Direct, JD Sports, Odeon Luxe, PureGym, Home Bargains, Poundland and Nando’s.
