Polymarket starts Protocol V2 rollout for prediction markets

The Protocol V2 smart contract system will be tested on a limited set of live markets through Oct. 30, with a tentative Nov. 2 switch for new markets.

Polymarket has begun rolling out its Protocol V2 update for its prediction market smart contract infrastructure, ahead of a planned transition in November, according to Cointelegraph. The upgrade is intended to support new market features and enable Polymarket to expand beyond Polygon.

Cointelegraph reports that Polymarket’s Protocol V2 uses a new smart contract system designed to handle different market types through a single exchange. The platform is testing the system on a limited number of live markets through Oct. 30.

Polymarket is targeting a tentative Nov. 2 date for switching new markets to Protocol V2, Cointelegraph added. Existing positions remain on the current system while the rollout proceeds.
