Trump allows cheaper dyed diesel on highways to address fuel spike
The move comes as the U.S. national average diesel price surpassed $6 a gallon in September for the first time, driven by fuel supply disruptions.
CNBC Markets reports that Trump allowed the use of cheaper, dyed diesel on highways, aiming to reduce the impact of rising fuel costs ahead of the midterms.
The outlet said the U.S. national average diesel price topped $6 a gallon in September for the first time ever, as fuel supply disruptions pushed transportation costs higher across the country.
