UK grid operator warns of reduced power system margin

OilPrice reports that the UK’s National Energy System Operator issued an Electricity Margin Notice warning of reduced power system margin later today.
According to OilPrice, the operator said Britain faces a system margin shortfall of about 1.88 gigawatts, with the notice aimed at the afternoon and evening peak period.
OilPrice said NESO posted the notice for peak demand hours between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Tuesday.
