Wealthfront expands digital-first mortgages into Washington

HousingWire reports Wealthfront says its mortgage rates are about 50 bps below the national average, and it plans more state launches after Washington as it aims for nationwide operations.

Wealthfront expanded its digital-first mortgage offering to Washington, becoming the lender’s fourth active state, HousingWire reports.

The company said its platform can deliver mortgage rates about 50 basis points below the national average and that the Washington rollout was driven by client demand, noting that about 5% of its clients live in the state.

HousingWire adds that Wealthfront entered the mortgage business in November 2025 and says it is licensed in 33 states, even though mortgages are currently available in only four.

Wealthfront said it plans additional launches in the coming months, including Florida, Illinois, and Oregon, with a longer-term goal to operate nationwide, according to HousingWire.
