Saudi East-West pipeline moved 5.8 million barrels as exports recover

Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said the pipeline routes crude to Yanbu on the Red Sea to bolster Gulf exports.

Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline had moved 5.8 million barrels of crude as of Tuesday morning, according to Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, as activity around the Red Sea export route picked up.

The pipeline carries crude across Saudi Arabia to Yanbu on the Red Sea, adding additional barrels to the kingdom’s export flow.

The outlet said Gulf producers are continuing efforts to move oil amid ongoing logistics constraints in the region, including around the Strait of Hormuz.

OilPrice also noted the broader context of Saudi movements through the system, stating Riyadh had been moving roughly 4 million barrels per day through the route.
