Canton CEO says crypto needs deeper adoption to resist US policy shifts
Speaking at Token2049 in Singapore, Yuval Rooz said the industry should use the current regulatory environment to accelerate institutional blockchain adoption ahead of the 2028 US election.
Canton CEO Yuval Rooz said the crypto industry needs to drive broader blockchain adoption to help it withstand potential US policy reversals, comparing progress to how Uber and Airbnb became hard to unwind.
According to Cointelegraph, Rooz argued that the industry should use the current regulatory environment to accelerate institutional adoption, saying widespread blockchain use could make it more difficult for future administrations to roll back momentum.
Rooz made the comments at Token2049 in Singapore, where he said the goal should be to make blockchain so widely used that “there is no going back” whatever happens in 2028.
The next US presidential election is scheduled for Nov. 7, 2028, which could bring changes to administration and regulatory priorities, Cointelegraph reported.
