Cardano Foundation spins out Veridian using tokenized equity standard

Veridian plans to seek strategic partners and investors in 2027, with Cardano Foundation executives keeping board roles.

CoinDesk reports that the Cardano Foundation spun out Veridian and that Veridian became the first company to use Cardano’s new programmable-token standard to tokenize its equity.

According to CoinDesk, the tokenized shares are not being offered to the public.

The Defiant adds that Veridian’s digital identity business plans to seek strategic partners and investors in 2027.

The Defiant also reports that Cardano Foundation executives will retain board roles in the spun-out company.
