EUR/USD rebounds as US Treasury yields ease, but Euro remains near lows
The euro traded around 1.1202 after dipping to 1.1171, while the 10-year US Treasury yield eased toward 5.28% from 5.36%.
EUR/USD rebounded during US trading hours on Thursday, supported by a pullback in US Treasury yields that reduced the US dollar’s momentum, according to FXStreet.
The pair was trading around 1.1202, recovering from an intraday low of 1.1171, while the US Dollar Index was around 102.24, below Monday’s peak of 102.53, the outlet said.
FXStreet noted that France’s fiscal concerns and broader dollar strength kept the euro near the 17-month low it touched earlier in the week.
The benchmark 10-year US Treasury yield was easing toward 5.28% after reaching 5.36% on Wednesday, and the article cited oil-driven inflation risks plus expectations of additional Federal Reserve rate hikes as factors keeping upward pressure on yields.
