Coinbase integrates Deribit derivatives access for eligible US customers

The integration routes US eligible users through Coinbase Financial Markets, its CFTC-regulated derivatives unit, while US retail options are expected later this year.

Cointelegraph reports that Coinbase has completed an integration with derivatives exchange Deribit to provide eligible US customers access to Deribit’s options and perpetual futures liquidity.

The outlet says the integration combines Coinbase’s international derivatives business with Deribit, with access for eligible US customers provided through Coinbase Financial Markets, Coinbase’s derivatives unit regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Cointelegraph adds that US retail options are expected later this year, after the integration opens a regulated pathway that Coinbase says had historically been out of reach for US participants.
