Downtown Los Angeles retail and office complex The Bloc goes up for sale
The Bloc includes 420,000 SF of retail anchored by Uniqlo and an Alamo Drafthouse, plus 730,000 SF of Class A office space and nearly 2,000 parking stalls.
The Bloc, a city block sized retail and office development in Downtown Los Angeles, has been placed on the market for sale, according to Bisnow. The property spans 420,000 SF of retail space, including apparel retailer Uniqlo and an Alamo Drafthouse, alongside 730,000 SF of Class A office space in a 33 story tower.
The Bloc also includes a parking structure with nearly 2,000 stalls. Bisnow reports that Cushman & Wakefield executive vice chairman Mike Condon said buyers can now underwrite using market evidence as sales transactions return to the norm in Downtown LA.
Condon added to the Los Angeles Times that the vacant Macy's building is where much of the project value will be derived, describing it as the main opportunity for potential buyers.
