DUAL launches specialist property insurance proposition in the Netherlands

The new Dutch offering targets mid-market and selected high hazard commercial and industrial property risks, and is backed by co-insurance capacity.

DUAL, a specialist underwriting business that distributes insurance through brokers, has entered the Dutch property insurance market with a new proposition focused on commercial and industrial risks, according to Reinsurance News.

The offering is designed for mid-market exposures and selected high hazard risks, aiming to give brokers specialist underwriting and capacity for more complex property portfolios.

DUAL said the launch supports a wider European strategy to build its property business after it entered the German market, citing the Netherlands as a key part of its plan.

In the Netherlands, the property operation will provide capacity through co-insurance arrangements and selected broker facilities, and is led by Edwin Gout, lead underwriter property at DUAL Benelu.
