Federal Reserve approves Isabella Bank deal and branch expansion

The Fed approved Isabella Bank Corporation to acquire Grand River Commerce and merge with Grand River Bank, along with permission to open branches at Grand River Bank locations.

The Federal Reserve Board on Monday announced approval of an application by Isabella Bank Corporation, based in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, to acquire Grand River Commerce, Inc. and thereby indirectly acquire Grand River Bank, both located in Grandville, Michigan.

The central bank also approved Isabella Bank, of Mount Pleasant, to merge with Grand River Bank.

In addition, the Fed authorized Isabella Bank to establish and operate branches at the locations of Grand River Bank.
