Hunter Biden says LAPTOP token was not a rug pull

He claimed the memecoin launch peaked around Sept. 9, followed by liquidity being pulled by trading firms hired by the project.

Hunter Biden said the LAPTOP memecoin he helped launch was “not a rug pull,” describing it as trolling related to a Trump-linked coin, in a breakdown posted after the token’s launch and fallout, according to Cointelegraph.

Biden said charts tracking the memecoin after launch on Sept. 9 “looked like every celebrity rug ever,” adding that the entities benefiting most were unnamed market makers hired by the project, which he referred to as two professional trading firms.

He said those market makers pulled their funds seconds after the memecoin’s peak price of about $317, and he claimed one market maker made $686,000 from liquidity, as described in his posts, Cointelegraph reported.
