According to operator reports submitted by 11 a.m. CDT, 62.9% of Gulf oil output and 57.4% of natural gas output were shut in.

Hurricane Isaias has knocked 1.28 million barrels per day of U.S. Gulf oil production offline, OilPrice reported.

The outlet said the shutdown came after production was only 185,120 bpd two days earlier, as operators cleared personnel from the storm’s path.

OilPrice added that the Marine Minerals Administration reported, based on operator updates submitted by 11 a.m. CDT, that 62.89% of current Gulf oil production and 57.35% of natural gas production had been shut in.
